2024 Fashion Astrology Predictions
With a long Venus retrograde, 2023 may have felt like the cycle of fashion was stuck in the mid. Trends were repeating, everyone was obsessed with minimal looks, not to mention copying each other. The astrology of 2024 has a lot more in store in regards to fashion, something that stands out to me immediately when I look at the transits!
No Venus Retro!
One of the main reasons that I think we’ll see a huge change in fashion in 2024 is the lack of Venus stationing retrograde. Venus will be direct throughout the entirety of 2024. When Venus stations retrograde it can feel like fashion is paused, or even moving backwards, and I think we saw a lot of that due to the long and torturous Venus Retrograde in the summer of 2023.
This year, Venus will only be moving onward and upward, which leads me to think that this can be a year of new things: perhaps even of innovation!
Venus will also be conjunct with Jupiter during May and June, which is really giving go big or go home for the summer vibes. I could see bigger, larger than life fashion trends rather than the subdued that we have been seeing.
Juno in Virgo and Libra!
In August the asteroid Juno will be moving from Virgo to Libra, and shifting us away from the neat clean girl aesthetic along with it. Instead, we will see a rise in hyper femininity! But not necessarily in the clean, polished way that you might think.
Juno will be conjunct with the South Node in this time, and we may feel ourselves moving away from beauty and trends entirely, and into personal fashion, weird aesthetics, and doing whatever the hell we want!
Both of these transits together show a shift from subdued clean girl, into free fashion Gremlin…and I’m really excited to see what this will bring in 2024!
October 2023 astrology forecast
October is a pretty chaotic month as far as astrology goes, with eclipse season and a few different planets wandering around. Mars moves into Scorpio, Venus moves into Virgo, and there are two eclipses.
Here are the important astrological dates this month:
Mars in Scorpio - October 12th
Venus in Virgo - October 9th
Solar eclipse in Libra - October 14
Lunar eclipse in Taurus - October 28
This will be the last Taurus/Scorpio based eclipse for a while, as the nodes officially move into Libra/Aries! So this will be the end of a long 1.5 year cycle, and the beginning of a new cycle of intense change and transformation.
It's fitting with Mars in it's home of Scorpio: and frankly, the malefic Mars is holding everything down right about now! Mars is going to be the most powerful and happy planet in the sky during this time, finally getting a break after being in Libra for so long.
Working during Mars hours and days can actually be incredibly favorable, powerful, action oriented! But breaks should be taken while the eclipse is happening, because eclipses do tend to create chaotic worldwide energy.
Venus in Virgo isn't the happiest place for Venus: but at least we're getting closer to Venus in Libra, and it's finally moving at it's usual pace! Venus matters may be stifled, uninterested, or full of perfection and refinement this month.
It's a great time to look at your relationships and refine them rather than starting new things, or trying "too hard". That try hard energy is very present with Venus in Virgo, but should definitely be avoided.

Have writers block? Check out these zodiac placements!
Modern astrology is pretty quick to tell people to look at the third house to revamp their writing…but with my traditional Hellenistic viewpoint, I might have a few other things to consider. If you know that you want to be a writer but don’t know how to get started, or you’re just a little blocked, your natal astrology chart may have the answers you’re looking for.
And unlike the blanket statement of “check out the 3rd house”, I’m going to have a few different options and specific tips for you! Most writers have a niche that they’re known for, and with this tip you can find yours using astrology.
Here are the placements you should look up:
Your Mercury placement.
Your 1st house sign, placements & ruler.
Gemini & Virgo houses & any placements.
Your Mercury placement may sound like the most cliche advice I’m mentioning.
You likely already know that Mercury iss the planet of communication: which includes writing. Looking at the house and sign that your Mercury placement is in can tell you a few things. The house can tell you different topics you may want to write about, while the sign can tell you the energy of your writing.
This can tell you how you write best. It can give you character ideas. It can give you vibes!
Am I really telling you to look at your 1st house?
Yes! In Hellenistic astrology the 3rd house has no ties to Mercury/Gemini, but the 1st house does. Mercury rejoices in the 1st house, meaning that the 1st house a potentially great house to look into. The 1st house shows your expression, the beginning of new things…both of which can be important to how you write.
Look at the sign that your 1st house is in. It can show you the vibe to include in your writings. Look at any placements there: additional vibes! The ruler of your 1st house can show you some topics too, if you look at the house it’s placed in.
Gemini & Virgo placements…how? What?
Gemini and Virgo are both Mercury ruled, and can show great writers! First: do you have heavy Gemini or Virgo energy? Excellent! You have the mark of a writer. Even if you don’t, keep on reading because these “empty” houses are important!
Which house are they in? That can show you some topics that you can become known for writing about. Let’s look at an example!
Let’s look at this transit chart as an example! Imagine someone born at this time is trying to write their first book. They know that writing is important to them: Virgo Sun and Mercury, hello! But they don’t know what they want to write, or how they want to write it.
First, this person needs to take their time. With a natal Mercury Retrograde in Virgo they can be a lovely writer, but it may take their time to actually get their words and thoughts out there. They just can’t rush!
They have Mercury in Virgo in the 10th house. Their 1st house is in Sagittarius, ruled by Jupiter in the 6th house. They have Gemini in the 7th house too.
This is someone who can be great at writing workplace romances, and perhaps even workplace romances based around workers at a hospital! With Mercury in the 10th house of career, Gemini in the 7th house of romance, combining those things can be excellent for their writing. Their 1st house ruler is also in the 6th house of injury and ailment, which is why I believe workplace romance set in a hospital can be perfect.
With Sagittarius and Virgo energy being very present in these placements, they may enjoy writing about wealthy and not-so-wealthy couples. Sagittarius energy is very generous, and Virgo energy is very luxurious but not quite as abundant. The dual-natured energy of one wealthy, bossed up character and another who is quiet and hard working could be an interesting one for them to explore.
What does your birth chart say about your writing?
Using astrology to plan & understand events!
Event astrology, otherwise known as electional or inceptional astrology, allows for someone to look at the energy and outcome of a particular event. This can be used for launching a business, getting married, writing a book, and so much more! While there is no such thing as a perfect event chart, understanding the energy can help you prepare for delays and frustrations; and to know where your strengths are.
For an example of event astrology, let’s look at the event chart of the moment that I began my Tiktok account. Tiktok is my biggest platform with over 50,000 followers, as of the time of writing this, having surpassed my old Youtube by a lot!
I did not know about electional astrology when I created my Tiktok account, but looking back at the inception…it’s certainly an interesting one!
In any event chart, the first thing you want to look at is:
The 1st house
The ruler of the 1st house
The moon
The ruler of the moon
The ruler of the ruler of the 1st house
The chart ruler here is Saturn, albeit in a day chart. Saturn becomes more benefic in a day chart, and it is also in it’s own domicile. This planet is stationed retrograde, perhaps mentioning delays. I did not begin actively using this account until May 2022, which is quite the delay!
Saturn is also co-present with Jupiter, and the energy of Jupiter in the 1st house is somewhat dampened by being in Capricorn. Still, in a day chart, Jupiter is able to bring some kind of luck.
Mars is the most malefic planet and is squaring up with Saturn and Jupiter. That’s not great! But, Mars is in it’s own domicile, and also moving away from the planets: perhaps indicating moving away from the struggles of Mars.
The Sun and Mercury are both in their own domicile. The Sun isn’t as prominent here, chilling in the 8th house, but Mercury is in the house of astrology and divination; the very things I would become known for. Virgo is also known for mysticism, and as my Tiktok expanded I began to describe myself as a mystic advisor.
Venus is not in domicile or exaltation, but it is in a good and angular house, and in mutual reception! In the 7th house, this shows being able to connect with great 1:1 clients, which Tiktok has certainly brought me.
The 1st house concentration shows that Tiktok has been all about me, well, tapping into my starpower…but in Capricorn, it isn’t without delays, struggles, and hard work!
The moon is happy, in mutual reception, in the good and angular 10th house. This inception does have to do with career matters, and having a happy moon there has certainly helped boost my reputation!
Sadly, Mars is being annoying as all h*ll. Squaring up with the 1st and 7th, and opposing the Moon. We do not love to see it. Luckily, the connection with the moon and Venus is pretty loose, but we can’t deny that close square with Saturn.
There have been ups and downs in my time on Tiktok. First, even creating this account was shaking things up. I did not want to do it. I didn’t want to be on Tiktok at all! I thought it was stupid! Second, there have been many videos of mine which attracted absolutely terrible people spewing homophobic and transphobic garbage in the comments.
Does Mars represent me arguing with those people? Absolutely. Did my time on Tiktok improve when I started blocking and moving on? Also, absolutely!
All in all, maybe I could have picked a better election for something this big. I could have done it a day before on a Virgo hour and avoided the Mars opposition with the moon. This electional chart is actually looking pretty sweet!:
But my Tiktok has grown a lot in the time that I’ve used it, and I’m really happy. Thank you for supporting me in any way that you support me!
If you’d like an electional reading with me, be sure to check those out over here.
What is a planetary retrograde in astrology?
I know, I know. You’ve heard all about it. Maybe you’ve heard about the overrated, over hated Mercury retrograde more than anything. Maybe you heard about the Venus Retrograde that tore a ton of celebrity relationships and working relationships apart.
But, why does a retrograde station do that? Don’t worry babes, I have the answer. 💋
Before a planet ever stations retrograde, that planet begins to slow down. This happens once the planet goes through the degrees that it plans on stomping through during the actual retrograde period. In this time the planet starts to say to itself: “huh…something feels off…”
That planet’s steps slow an dit starts to look backwards. During this time, people will already start to feel a shift here on Earth. That planet starts to do it’s job more slowly. During Venus Retrograde, this could slow your drive, if you know what I mean. When Mercury is about to station retrograde, you may feel like you’re waiting weeks to receive an email…only for the person to claim that they already sent it.
Once a planet finally stations retrograde it stops, looks back, and starts going backwards. Not only is it slow at this point, but it is simply not working the way that it should. This is like when you have a co-worker and you’re asking them to do something, but they seem to be watching Youtube videos at their desk all day instead. Like, thanks a lot, man!
This period of time takes power and agency away from the planet, and they start doing their job badly. Whatever that planet’s significations are suddenly seem like they’re on pause, or if they do come through they seem to come through in a weird or half assed way.
This is made better or worse depending on the essential dignity of a planet. A Mercury Retrograde in Virgo is always going to be easier than one in, say, Capricorn! And especially easier than one in Pisces! This is because Mercury is at home in Virgo, and at least has the tools and support to do it’s job a little.
When a planet does not have this support it will also be doing it’s job in weird, annoying ways. Mercury Retrograde in Virgo? An email gets lost. Mercury Retrograde in Pisces? You’re suddenly getting emails from weird people who left you on read a year ago, romanticizing your time together for no good reason. Or maybe you and your partner are arguing over nothing, only to realize you actually have the same point of view.
Once the planet’s retrograde ends, there’s still another shadow period…but this one is actually good. Ancient astrologers considered the secondary shadow period to be a good omen, as the planet begins picking up speed again. This is the time to clean shit up, to take care of the mess that the retrograde left behind.
And now, my beautiful angel, you understand the period of a retrograde.
And, no, it doesn’t mean that you need to put your life on hold. It just means to exercise patience and caution in one potential area of life, all depending on which house it may be impacting.
PS. Not every retrograde is going to be activated for you! Some will go by without you even noticing. It’s normal.
